The sword itself is cardboard along the length, with 3/8" wooden dowels running diagonally across it like the support one would find in an airplane wing. A thick 1" wooden dowel comprises the handle and runs down the center of the guard. A metal faux doorknob is used for balance and as an endpiece on the handle.

The entire sword is covered in silver and black duct tape. Cloth has be wound around the handle beneath the duct tape to make it pleasant to the touch and give it a different feel than the blade itself.

The items used as materia were purchased from an Ace Hardware as part of a suncatcher unit found in the lawn and garden department. They are bright red under light.

The rings around the handle are bits of wire, covered in ducttape. The bolts on the guard are wooden pegs and the edging a thin rope, also covered in duct tape.

The sword measures approximately 58" long, 8" wide and 1" thick on the thickest part of the blade.
